RESIDENTIAL

Residential developments are beginning again, and the sound of home site construction has returned to Sugar Grove.  Sugar Grove offers a wide variety of residential neighborhoods, with home styles ranging from luxury single family homes (including 100-year-old Victorian “painted ladies”), to townhomes, duplexes and multi-family units.  All facets of the population, from young families to seniors, is accommodated in this housing spectrum.

Several residential developments in Sugar Grove incorporate open space trails and wetlands.

The community is also home to the Sugar Grove Park District, which operates and maintains 15 Parks and the Sugar Grove Sports Complex.  Sugar Grove is also the location for Hannaford Woods/Nickels Farm, and Bliss Woods Forest Preserve, of the Kane County Forest Preserve District.  Both are situated along beautiful Blackberry Creek, which runs through Sugar Grove.

Another tremendous outdoor Sugar Grove attribute is Rich Harvest Farms.  Rich Harvest Farms has been a premiere destination for golfers from all over the world.  The course has earned many distinct honors including consistently being named one of Rolex’s “World’s Top 1,000 Golf Courses” and Golf Digest’s  ”America’s 100 Greatest Golf Courses.” The private, members only facility is also home to the Kids Golf Foundation of Illinois.  Sugar Grove also includes Bliss Creek Public Golf Course, one of the best golf values in the Chicagoland area.

Sugar Grove also has fine schools with local facilities for elementary, middle and high school, as well as the Sugar Grove Campus of Waubonsee Community College.

A variety of local places of worship serve multiple Sugar Grove congregations.  These religious facilities have been built here throughout the community history, the earliest in 1888, through the latest in 2012.
